Jackson first discovered his passion for photography his Sophomore year of high school in his first black and white darkroom photography class. His first roll of negatives were nearly unprintable, but each subsequent roll of film produced images that more closely matched his vision for them. His skill developed and his vision refined so that after taking every photography class offered at his high school, Jackson's passion persisted into higher education at Loyola University Chicago where he achieved a Minor degree in photography.
