Ailecia truly has had a passion for photography her entire life. Borrowing her dad's 1968 vintage camera Ailecia used to photograph punk shows in living rooms in Alabama in the 1990s. When she went to college, she also attended a nearby photography trade school, Pittsburgh Filmmakers, to learn the art of both black and white and color film photography. Those days in the darkroom are long behind her, since 2010 Ailecia has been running a professional photography business in Lawrence, KS. She is mostly hired to photograph weddings, family portraits, senior portraits, professional headshots, bands/rappers/performers, and magazine covers for arts and entertainment businesses. Her dream assignment is to document local people at work and vintage details in small Kansas communities, to combine her love of documenting people, culture and architecture.
