I am a self taught photographer based out of Virginia Beach but still with a strong heart in urban and street scenery that comes from being a New York native. With dozens of shoots under my belt in a span of 2 years, I specialize in various types of shoots that include portrait, event, family, and automotive photography.

DB Photography is a duo partnership of a husband and wife. Derrick & Shonda together creates magical memories for their clients. Derrick being the professional photographer and Shonda as his assistant. Their chemistry and ability to work alongside each other is so compelling that it allows the clients emotions to come to life as Derrick captures images that will live on forever.

Multiple years shooting weddings, senior sessions, family sessions, events, parties, and much more. I have attended multiple lighting courses and photography expos to increase my expertise of photography. It has always been my passion to create timeless images.

Kim is best known for her dramatic portraits, food/product photos, and action photos during local, national, and international events. She is the founder of SparkDawn Media, an award-winning creative agency specializing in web design, technology, graphic design, photography, and video production.
