How did you get started with photography

In middle school, my grandparents gave me a small digital camera. Throughout the years, I put it to good use at family events, on adventures in local parks, and on our annual Disney World vacations. Eventually, I upgraded to a more modern point and shoot when I moved abroad, which allowed me to capture scenes in England, Indonesia, and several countries in between. It wasn't until moving to Florida 5 years ago that I finally committed to a DSLR camera so that I could properly capture all the wonderful nature and landscapes that surrounded me there. To this day, I rarely go anywhere without my camera tucked in my adventure bag!

What do you love about your job?

I love being able to take the intangible magic in a moment and immortalize it in a photo. Because I tend to shoot moments in which people are joyful and enthusiastic, I enjoy being able to convey those emotions in a way that allows my clients to relive those emotions. P.T. Barnum said “The noblest art is that of making others happy,” and that is exactly what I seek to do with my photography.

What are some of your favorite places in Orlando to take photographs?

I have always found Cincinnati to be a beautiful city, and some of my favorite backdrops include the city skyline, the river and some of its bridges, the abundant murals that can be found throughout the city, and Music Hall. In many areas of the city, colorful houses provide bright backdrops, and some of the alleys can become moody settings for portraits. There are also dozens of beautiful parks throughout that city that are great for photo shoots.
