Kenyon Gerbrandt is an unlikely photographer. Having been formally educated in Defense and Strategic Studies (M.S.) in the early 2000s he shifted careers and began a long journey into digital media. In 2009 Kenyon bought his first DSLR (Canon XT) and began learning the basics of photography. With additional formal photography training at Tulsa Community College Kenyon broadened and refined his photography skills. In 2010 Kenyon became Director of Media and Communication for a literacy non-profit based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was here that Kenyon truly honed his photography skills. Given opportunities to travel internationally and capture a variety of photography Kenyon's love for photography began to come through. Today, you can find Kenyon practicing new techniques on his family at home or walking a local park. He continues to expand his freelance opportunities through a variety of contract employers.
