How did you get started with photography

I got started in photography at a very young age. I participated in an after-school arts program that included photography workshop when i was 11 years old. Soon after I asked my mother for a camera for my birthday which was a small point and shoot camera from walmart. With that camera I learned the ins and outs of photoshop and paint shop pro and turning my point and shoot pictures into art. Since then I have been improving in skill, eye, equipment, and knowledge.

What do you love about your job?

The thing I love most about my job is that I love drawing the beauty out of in an ordinary setting. Especially in photo journalism. I love taking raw life and turning it into art when people are going on about their normal day. Being able to capture the beauty that was happening when no one else was paying attention.

What are some of your favorite places in Washington to take photographs?

Favorite places in my area to take photos would be Washington DC, National Harbor, Alexandria VA, LaPlata MD, I love the farms, open land, and old barns in southern MD, and I love Baltimore city near the harbor,
