Was liebst du an deinem Job?
What I love most about photography is the people. Every session gives me the opportunity to meet someone new, hear their story, and help preserve an important moment in their life. I enjoy creating images that make people feel confident, celebrated, and seen. I also love the creative challenge of finding beauty in every situation, whether I'm documenting a wedding, showcasing a local business, or capturing a family vacation in the Florida Keys. Knowing that my work becomes part of someone's memories is incredibly rewarding.
Welche Shootings hast du schon gemacht und wie hast du sie besonders gemacht?
I've photographed everything from graduations, couples, families, and elopements to hospitality, food and beverage, real estate, and commercial content for local businesses. I try to make every session special by tailoring it to the people or brand I'm working with rather than using the same approach every time. For portrait sessions, I focus on helping clients feel comfortable and confident so their personalities come through naturally. For businesses, I take the time to understand their story and goals so the images feel authentic to their brand. No matter the subject, my goal is always to create photographs that feel genuine, personal, and memorable.
Erhaltene Preise, Ehrungen und Anerkennungen
Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to receive recognition for both photography and visual storytelling. I was awarded Best Cinema Photography in the Tropic Cinema Competition, Audience Choice Winner and a Top 10 Film selection in the Florida Student Showcase of Films, and Best of Show in the Tropic Cinema Competition. I also earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism with a specialization in Photography from the University of Florida. In addition, videography content I created through Dance Marathon at UF was featured on the national Children's Miracle Network platform, allowing my work to reach audiences beyond my local community.
Wissenswertes über diesen Fotografen
Photography runs in my family. My grandfather was a photographer in Japan who specialized in film photography, and my grandparents had a darkroom in their home where photographs were developed by hand. I received my first camera in eighth grade, and it's incredible to look back and realize that passion eventually became my career. I'm also a born-and-raised Key West local, half Japanese, an avid traveler, and dog mom to two doodles named Mila and Tater.
