Was liebst du an deinem Job?
What I love most about this job is the privilege of being trusted with people's real moments — the quiet, unscripted instant that tells more truth than any posed shot ever could. After 20 years in photojournalism, I still get that same rush when a scene comes together in front of my lens, knowing I'll never get that exact moment again. It's also the connection: stepping into someone's life, even briefly, and walking away with a story worth telling.
Welche Shootings hast du schon gemacht und wie hast du sie besonders gemacht?
Over the years I've covered everything from breaking news and hard-hitting photojournalism assignments to weddings, portraits, and event photography — each one teaching me something different about capturing a moment. On news assignments, I learned to anticipate the split second before a story unfolds; I bring that same instinct to weddings and portraits, catching the genuine laugh or glance before someone realizes they're being photographed. What makes each shoot special is treating it less like a formal session and more like documentary work — I try to disappear into the background so people forget the camera's there, which is when the real, honest moments happen.

Wissenswertes über diesen Fotografen
Fun fact: after 20 years of chasing the perfect shot professionally, I still can't walk past a good scene without instinctively reaching for my camera — even on vacation, even when I promised myself I'd just relax. My family jokes that I've missed more sunsets actually looking at them than through a viewfinder.
