Was liebst du an deinem Job?
I love bringing out people's true selves in an image. Whether it is an expression on a person's face, a movement in the body of a model doing justice to the piece of clothing or accessory they are demonstrating, or a photojournalistic representation of an event or place in the world, are the things that give me ultimate satisfaction. My grandfather was an anatomy professor and as such I grew up with books on human anatomy and movement. Later on I dedicated my few vacations to studying art history in Florence, and as such shooting a model or a regular person, I always strive to capture the unique esthetic I have grown up with and learned in the birth place of Renaissance. I love connecting with people and hearing who they are. I have seen it all on set - people sharing moments of happiness, infinite sadness, tears, fights or breakdowns. It is a privilege for me to share those moments with them and infinitely grateful when they see their images and tell me I have captured their true selves.
Welche Shootings hast du schon gemacht und wie hast du sie besonders gemacht?
Over 500 portraiture, fashion, interior and food shoots as well as certain events(most significant the Dropbox Initial Public Offering on the NASDAQ floor). Each shoot could be individual in its essence as a subject or purpose, but my approach is similar - connect personally, wait for the right moment, feel and accept your subject, be invisible, observe and notice every detail, watch out your composition maniacally, everything matters, never loose your cool, perform because you work for your own dream now.
