¿Qué amas de tu trabajo?
I love being able to provide people with something meaningful to them. Nothing feels better than when a client sends back to me how much they love what I did. When they post things, hang them in their house, tell others, etc. The feeling of knowing that I made someone’s day a little better is always worth the effort to me, no matter how much work may go into it. I tend to keep to myself a lot, I have always been that way. Photography gives me a way to express myself and my eye without having to talk about it.
¿Qué tipos de sesiones has hecho y cómo las hiciste especiales?
Like I have said repeatedly through these questions, I do not have a “specific” field that I shoot, so I really do have a wide variety of experiences to choose from. I recently did an engagement shoot for one of my friends and had a really good time doing those. I think they are the best pictures I’ve taken to date. It was important to me not to set any “limits” on time, locations or outfits. I find when you are too strict on things like that the pictures are never as good. We spent hours with no restrictions and the pictures benefited greatly.
Premios, honores y reconocimientos
I can’t say that I’ve has any “awards” during my time so far as a professional photographer. My accomplishments so far are slim but promising. I worked for a magazine in Cincinnati for a year and was able to get the front cover on a few of the issues. I had some photos used on the news for corona virus topics. More recently, I did some photos for a newly released book and got my first hard cover credit. More will come with more time in the industry. I am very confident with my work and I know that perseverance will reward me in the long run.
Un dato curioso sobre este fotógrafo
I spent a good portion of my twenties and my life as a musician. It started as kind of a joke in high school and actually became a pretty serious thing for a while. I have lost my love for it over the years as I found a new love in photography. Everything happens for a reason. I worked with a lot of photographers through that time and always had an interest and helping hand in everything that we shot. I definitely learned a lot from some talented people during those times being in front of the camera as opposed to behind
