¿Qué amas de tu trabajo?
There are so many things I love about photography, but what stands out most is the sense of feeling completely at home behind the camera. This feeling comes from many aspects of the job—being out in the field, exploring new places, meeting new people, and constantly experiencing fresh perspectives. I find a lot of personal satisfaction in connecting with others, helping them feel comfortable, and sharing their stories visually. Photography also gives me a sense of freedom and adventure that I crave, allowing me to capture authentic moments and showcase the beauty of the world through my lens.
¿Qué tipos de sesiones has hecho y cómo las hiciste especiales?
I’ve done a wide variety of shoots, from product photography in the outdoor adventure space to food and lifestyle imagery for brands in natural settings. I always aim to make each image special by focusing on what’s most important from the client’s perspective and bringing that to life in the final images. For example, when working with Mineral King, I went on a 30-mile backpacking trip to Yosemite’s highest peak, Clouds Rest, to capture their tents and gear in an environment that truly reflects their purpose. By putting in the effort to shoot products where they’re meant to be used, I aim to create visuals that resonate and tell a story.
Premios, honores y reconocimientos
My first photography award was winning first place in our local "Living Los Gatos" photography competition in high school, which was a surprise and a huge motivator for me early on. Since then, I’ve had multiple pieces published in the Santa Barbara Independent and Living San Luis Obispo magazine, which have been great opportunities to share my work. I am also a licensed Part 107 drone pilot, which has allowed me to expand my work into aerial photography.
Un dato curioso sobre este fotógrafo
A fun fact about me is that I grew up in the Bay Area but moved around quite a bit as a kid—about seven different times—due to a house fire early on. While it was challenging at times, this experience taught me how to adapt to new situations and environments quickly. It ended up being a very positive thing for me, shaping my flexibility and ability to connect with people wherever I go.
