En savoir plus sur Catherine V....
Qu'est-ce que vous aimez dans votre métier ?
I love capturing the moments people would otherwise miss. I also love providing a tactile representation of a single moment - whether it's a photo of a found object on the street to a family portrait. It gives that single moment an entire life.
Quels types de séances avez-vous réalisés et comment les avez-vous rendus spéciaux ?
At this point I feel like I've done so many kinds of photography because I never say "no" to a job. I think some of my favorite shoots have been ones that posed a huge challenge for me. I worked with Beacon Orthopedics on their fellowship program and scrubbed in on an ACL surgery and photographed the head Dr. working with the fellows. Capturing those unique teaching moments through the odd lighting and limited movement was really special. Medical photography really fascinates me and has been an interesting path to walk down, that is for sure!
Prix, distinctions et reconnaissances reçus
I was published in Vice (online) for a photojournalism piece during the protests following Sam DuBose's death.
Un fait amusant sur ce photographe
If I could afford / take the time to get my skydiving license, I would. I've also seen a total solar eclipse and that was the coolest experience of my life.
