Qu'est-ce que vous aimez dans votre métier ?

I am a storyteller and photography is the perfect medium for telling stories that leave space for the viewers imagination. Beyond that, I love meeting people and hearing their stories. I love the rush of collaborating with subjects until we capture the image that tells their story. I love shaping light, and finding backdrops that are visually interesting. I love the pursuit of technical understanding mixed with a spiritual intuition that leads to mastering the craft.

Quels types de séances avez-vous réalisés et comment les avez-vous rendus spéciaux ?

My work as a wedding photographer has given me opportunities to photograph in multiple environments with unpredictable challenges. Sometimes it rains or there is a snowstorm and we are forced to do the portraits indoors. Not all wedding venues are as gorgeous as a photographer would hope for. However, what the client really wants is photographs that capture a felling. I work to create interactions between people that bring out the smiles or depth of connection between the subjects. I help my clients feel special by listening to their stories and weaving them into the shoot. Once they open up to me, I can make the emotion and connection the focus of the image. If the background is not happening, we can always bring the awareness to the foreground!

I am a yoga teacher and I like to think about the connections between photography and teaching yoga. Both disciplines rely on alignment, movement through time, introspection, and thinking outside the box. Both rely on focus and awareness. And of course I strive to help my yoga and photography clients look their best!
