Julie Hidalgo is an experienced professional photographer who has worked with many clients in the Cincinnati, Dayton, Louisville, and Columbus area for almost half a decade. She attended the University of Cincinnati - DAAP Graduate program in Electronic Arts and has a BFA in Motion Picture Production from Wright State University. She specializes in food photography, having completed nearly 300 shoots all over the Midwest. She is also experienced in portrait, event, sport, fashion, and product photography having worked for clients such as Kodakit, DoorDash, FinisherPix, Fricker's USA, etc.

Qu'est-ce que vous aimez dans votre métier ?

My favorite aspect of being a photographer is that I consider myself an "artist of light." I have a true passion for the fundamental element of light and constantly strive for a better understanding of how it affects the world around us. Through photographic experimentation with light I can enhance the way objects are seen.

I have mostly done food photography. This type of photo shoot is special to me because of the diversification it offers in cuisine, location, and mostly people. Each experience is different and unique.

I have had photography/videography work presented at Cincinnati Art Museum's Fath Auditorium, Weston Art Gallery, Cincinnati Fringe Festival, Wexner Center for the Arts, etc.
