Kiera is an experienced professional photographer who has worked within the industry for 10 years. Based in Scotland, she has been fortunate to have worked with a wonerful and varied clientele and subject matter.
Her training began in secondary school, where she gained her higher Photography qualification. After school she went to college where she gained her HND in Communication Design, which included a further qualification in Photography. Finally, Kiera attended Duncan of Jordanstone School of Art, where she gained her BA(Hons) in Fine Art, Philosophy and Contemporary Practices, specialising in photography and videography.
To Kiera, taking pictures isn't only her profession, it's also one of her favourite hobbies; in her spare time she enjoys partaking in urban wild life photography, landscape photography, and street photography... and generally any other opportunities to take pictures.

Qu'est-ce que vous aimez dans votre métier ?

What I love most about my job is being a witness to life. I am kindly invited in to people's personal moments and, with all the time spent observing people for that perfect shot, I can see so much. Body language, smiles, laughter, sadness; just witnessing and experiencing humanity in all shapes and forms.

Quels types de séances avez-vous réalisés et comment les avez-vous rendus spéciaux ?

With any event, I like to build a relationship with people. For the most part I do by best to blend in and go unnoticed so I can catch those wonderful candids but, when it comes to posed shots (which are always requested), I stop being aloof. If I notice somebody may not be too comfortable in front of the camera, I will have a friendly conversation with them, make them laugh and help them to a state of mind where they feel comfortable and can have fun with it. Natural smiles are the most beautiful.

From 2016 to 2020, I owned and ran Dundee's leading events photography agency. Providing photographic services to the majority of the city's bars, clubs and restaurants.

Un fait amusant sur ce photographe

When I was younger I wanted to be an Archaeologist (big Indiana Jones fan) and as soon as I started working when I was 14, I started saving and buying ancient coins. Among my ancient coin collection I have Roman, Greek and Egyptian - my oldest is dated 246BC.
