My name is Luis Marin, I'm a Professional Still Photographer, Film/Video Producer in Puerto Rico, New York City and beyond. My commercial photography includes corporate work, advertising, marketing, catalogs, events, publicity, and editorial. In the Film/TV world, I've worked as Producer/Director/Cameraman/Cinematographer for documentaries, narrative films, commercials, broadcast and network television, and corporate videos. I have made dozens of short films, one feature film, plus dozens of commercials.

Qu'est-ce que vous aimez dans votre métier ?

I love working with people. I enjoy meeting new people all the time and making images that they love. I love hearing how much a client loves my work. That is the most rewarding part of photography is having a pleased client.

I also greatly enjoy traveling for work. Whether its local, regional or international, I enjoy being in new places and seeing new faces.

Quels types de séances avez-vous réalisés et comment les avez-vous rendus spéciaux ?

I try to make all my photo sessions special for those being photographed. No bells and whistles, but good old fashioned manners and expert lighting to make the subject POP. Lighting can make or break a photo. I know how to make people look good

Prix, distinctions et reconnaissances reçus

No awards, I have never submitted my photos for competition, but my work has been published on many occasions in the NY Times, LA Times, Washington Post, People Magazine, Hollywood Reporter, Entertainment Weekly, American Baby Magazine.

Un fait amusant sur ce photographe

I love to surf. It is a most special activity that keeps me fit and my mind at peace. I moved to Puerto Rico with my family 7 years ago. I have 3 boys who love to surf too. Surfing with them is like a second childhood for me.
