Nara Parana started her career in photography working as press photographer for A GAZETA Newspaper back in 2006 just after finishing her BA in "Social Communication". In 2009, still working as photojournalist at A GAZETA, she finished a Postgraduate Degree in "Audiovisual and Multimedia Languages" and during this period also worked on the weekends at "Sao Camilo University" teaching Photography and Photojournalism classes at the department of Social Communication.
At the end of 2009 she moved to Europe to get a Master Degree in Photography in Lisbon (Portugal), which started in 2009 and finished in 2011.
After getting a master degree she went back to Brazil to work for “A Tribuna” Newspaper as a photojournalist where she worked for about a year till moved permanently to London - UK, where she has lived since 2014.
In London Nara Parana works with photography in collaboration with photographic platforms that provide photography service all over the UK.

Qu'est-ce que vous aimez dans votre métier ?

I'm truly passionate about the whole photographic process but the ability to draw with lightning is for sure the most incredible aspect of it. The way the details are revealed with a magnificent light is one of the things that makes photography capable of revealing that every moment in life is divine.

Quels types de séances avez-vous réalisés et comment les avez-vous rendus spéciaux ?

I've got experience with most photography fields, but to mention one in particular that would be a portrait of a girl who used to have confidence issues about how she looks and she could see how beautiful she really was through my shots. Watching her realise her beauty from my point of view made me incredibly proud.

Prix, distinctions et reconnaissances reçus

I In my first year working as a photojournalist in "A Gazeta" I was a finalist on the "Capixaba Journalism Award" in the photojournalism category. Also I had 2 pictures hanging on the wall of the best shot of the month when I worked in "A Tribuna".

Un fait amusant sur ce photographe

I had acting class / theater class for over a year before my graduation, I also studied piano for several years ignoring my zero skills in the music field.
