I have lived in Auckland, New Zealand for over two decades. Having professionally photographed weddings and events for over 16 years.
I did my Art and Design degree at AUT. A university project has spawned into my passion. I was at Avondale Sunday Market for a whole year and took more than 8000 photos with my old faithful Canon Powershot A70. I put the best shots in a book named Facing the Faces and self-published it in 2006. I have over 10 years of working experience in the media industry. I was an AirBnB.com contract photographer for 4 years. I am a Getty Image contributor in New Zealand. In 2021, I was awarded Google Maps Local Guide Guiding Star.

Qu'est-ce que vous aimez dans votre métier ?

You can always meet interesting people at a photo shoot. Whenever there is assignments, wedding, events, or even engagement, people are always dressed up. As a photographer, you will need to capture the best of their images. This is always a challenge, even for experienced photographers. I do like this challenge. My approach is always to go above and beyond for my clients. I tend to take more photos than they need. When I get their positive feedback, I pride myself on being a photographer and being a part of their big day.

Quels types de séances avez-vous réalisés et comment les avez-vous rendus spéciaux ?

I will have a variety of shoots: wide angle, mid-range, and close-up. Choosing the right spot with good lighting can really make it special. Also, good communication skills will help.

Un fait amusant sur ce photographe

My second book is in preparation. The name of the book is PEOPLE, PHOTOGRAPHY. It's a collection of my best shots in the last 16 years. I
was lucky to have a foreword from Steve McCurry with the help from his assistant Tom based in New York City, who happened to be a Kiwi.
