Patti started out in the art department at PAPER MAGAZINE in the early 90's and could not have had a better education in street art than that! She was and still is super influenced by graffiti, street photography and the energy of the then underground scene of skating and b-boying.
You can find traces of these influences in a lot of her photographs.
Going from graphic design to photography has been a seamless transition. Having extensive knowledge of the print process and retouching is a big help in post-production and just adds another level of expertise to what she offers when shooting.
Patti recently fell in love with food photography and has been honing her skills in this space for the past 3 years.

I love being able to be creative and also that every experience is new and exciting. I also love making connections and meeting new people.

Quels types de séances avez-vous réalisés et comment les avez-vous rendus spéciaux ?

I’ve done lots of portrait shoots and because I have a very relaxed attitude I feel like I am able to allow the subject enjoy the process and catch some great shots. When I shoot food, it doesn’t matter to me whether you are a 5-star restaurant or the bodega with a great chopped cheese, I’m going to put the same effort and love into the photographs so that the chef and/or owners are happy and excited that their food can look so good.

Un fait amusant sur ce photographe

I was a b-girl (breakdancer) in the 90’s and could do headspins and windmills. I also went to Venezuela twice and wanted to move there I loved it so much!
