En savoir plus sur Sofie R....
Qu'est-ce que vous aimez dans votre métier ?
What I love most about photography is the ability to capture moments and emotions that would otherwise disappear. I enjoy documenting real interactions, atmosphere and the small details people often overlook. Every event, person and environment is different, which keeps the work creative and unpredictable in the best way.
I also love meeting new people and being trusted to capture important moments in their lives, whether that’s a live event, a wedding or a creative project. Photography allows me to combine storytelling, art and human connection all at once, which is what makes it so rewarding for me.
Quels types de séances avez-vous réalisés et comment les avez-vous rendus spéciaux ?
I’ve worked on a range of shoots including live music events, creative events, weddings and documentary-style photography. Each shoot has been different, which has helped me adapt to different environments, lighting conditions and ways of working with people.
What makes my approach special is that I focus heavily on atmosphere and authenticity rather than overly staged images. I try to capture the feeling of a moment as naturally as possible, paying attention to subtle expressions, movement, lighting and the overall mood of an environment. My background in fine art also influences the way I compose images, helping me create photographs that feel expressive and emotionally grounded rather than purely documentary.
Un fait amusant sur ce photographe
A fun fact about me is that alongside photography, I also create fine art using natural materials collected from the environment. I make sculptures, drawings, jewellery and greeting cards using things like wood, plants and found textures, so I’m usually the type of person who stops mid-walk because a rock or tree branch looks “artistically promising.” It’s either creative dedication or the early stages of becoming a woodland cryptid.
