Stephen Long is an experienced Auckland-based photographer, specialising in food, restaurant, event and wedding photography. He has a passion for the craft, and loves to document magic moments during an event. He has a background as a professional chef and a culinary arts tutor, so food and restaurant photography is a speciality.

He backed up his life-long love for photography by completing a Diploma in Digital Photography through Southern Institute of Technology.

He has worked with several commercial food clients, documenting restaurant operations, menu and poster product shots and styled food photography. He has also worked at numerous sporting events and weddings.

Qu'est-ce que vous aimez dans votre métier ?

I love to capture meaningful moments in a documentary style. For my clients to see and relive their event through my images is extremely rewarding and I think these images become a part of their legacy for future generations. I enjoy taking a client's idea or concept and helping them to realise it.

Quels types de séances avez-vous réalisés et comment les avez-vous rendus spéciaux ?

I have shot several weddings, many food product shots and sporting events. I have also shot events such as culinary competitions. In all cases I try to make them special by recognising the emotions of each event and recording people's unguarded reactions.
