For many people, a photographer with a huge professional DSLR and long lens makes them nervous and either they shy away or immediately put on a hackneyed smile or pose. At all of my shoots, I like to become "a part" of the event. Yes I use stealth, but I use personality as well. I mix with the guests, talk, get to know them and share stories sometimes, but none of the egotistical, superstar photographer drama (although there is a place for it!). I want people to always feel like they are taking a relaxed, "party" photo and feel free to let their personality shine through. In the end, when they see the final images, they are surprised and realize that taking professional photos are as easy as taking a party photo.
