Cosa ami del tuo lavoro?

To keep this section short, since I really love everything about my job, I'll explain why I love photoshoots with people.
I love that I have the ability to make people smile. To really capture a moment that is so important in someones life and for them to keep that moment in time forever. I love making people laugh, and I really love being able to make people feel good about themselves. I love being able to bring people together, and get people to work together. Of course, I also love the reactions of excitement when I send off the final images.

I remember specifically one family I was doing a shoot for, the kids were very shy. They did not want their photo taken and cried when I pulled out my camera. I tried to make them laugh a handful of times, and when I finally accepted that my regular tactics weren't working, I got another idea. My boyfriend and I were living in our camper van at the time and so I sent him over to get our bubble machine which I had been gifted. We turned it on and the kids loved it. All of the photos had bubbles in them, but they also had smiling kids, and a very happy family. We let them keep the bubble machine too!

I'm not sure if it's a fun fact, but having self-diagnosed myself with long-term memory loss, I think this is one of the many reasons why I insist on taking pictures. I find a lot of my life has been forgotten unless I can look back on my hard drive and see it. If I didn't shoot it, it's almost like it didn't happen. It's sad in a way, but also beautiful to think I have found something I love doing and that actually helps me at the same time.
