Wat vind je het leukst aan je werk?
Being able to capture a moment and to produce a feeling of what it was like to be there and to share it with the world is something that is truly special. I love hearing and seeing how someone reacts when they see an image that they were in, or witnessing a client seeing their loved one, or giving the gift of a beautiful portrait or landscape. By providing that sense of enjoyment and being able to be a part of that is something that is impossible to put into words and is only possible through image making.
Welke soorten shoots heb je gedaan en hoe heb je ze speciaal gemaakt?
I have done shoots honoring local 'heroes' that were being given awards for the local town and their portraits were to be hung as large posters in the hallway of the hospital. To make them special I used various techniques and lighting aspects - utilizing the hospital's 'multi-faith' room which has a beautiful colored glass backdrop and circular floor, I was able to photograph from a ladder and make truly unique images that will be cherished for a long time.
