I love creating a world and inviting the viewer inside. I feel the job of any artist is to communicate something that cannot be communicated with words, and to attach emotion and their own voice/feel

Welke soorten shoots heb je gedaan en hoe heb je ze speciaal gemaakt?

Post production is where your style as a creative person can really emerge. For food photography it is more about the images straight out of camera. Finding natural light, using props, catching the best angles all contribute to a successful food shoot.

Prijzen, onderscheidingen en erkenningen ontvangen

Placed in the top 25 artists for the global art competition called "ArtPrize" in Grand Rapids, MI for 5 years running. Was nominated as one of the top 5 artists for best use of urban space in 2014 within this competition. Have been published in multiple online publications. Have done talks at Grand Rapids Community College for the entry level watercolor class.

I was a supervisor at a jail in Grand Rapids for 5 years, and I quit to become a chef, and do food photography full time. Making that transition was very scary financially at the time.
