Wat vind je het leukst aan je werk?

Honestly, I don't view this as a job. I've been blessed with the ability to turn moments and snippets of everyday life into memories that last a lifetime — and I'm fortunate enough to be compensated for it. If money weren't a necessity, I'd do this for free without hesitation. What I love most is the joy, emotion, and appreciation I see in my clients when their most precious moments are etched into history forever. The big milestones, the quiet in-between moments we often overlook, even the ones we didn't think mattered — all of it takes on new meaning and significance when given the chance to live on through photos and videos. Bringing visions, stories, and emotions to life in an unlimited variety of ways is what it's truly all about for me.

Across all the shoots I've done, I believe what truly makes them special is my approach before, during, and after the camera ever comes out. For portraits, I focus on instilling confidence in my clients while creating an environment where they feel completely at ease — because the best images come from people who feel good in the moment. For corporate work, I bring full professionalism and take the time to understand and adapt to the brand's identity and principles, because every business has its own story. For engagements, birthdays, and graduations, I'm deeply aware that these moments happen once — and I treat them exactly that way. Everything the client envisions, I make it my mission to bring to life. And for family shoots, being an older brother to three sisters and a father myself has been the greatest training ground. I know firsthand how much patience, creativity, and genuine connection it takes — and I bring all of that to every session without hesitation.

While I haven't pursued formal awards or competitions, the recognition that means the most to me comes directly from my clients. The consistent praise I receive for my shooting style, delivery, and ability to make people feel at ease has been my greatest measure of success. That feedback, combined with the substantial growth EastMedia (my business) has experienced in a relatively short time, speaks louder to me than any formal accolade ever could. In this industry, a client who keeps coming back and sends others your way is the highest honor there is.

Here's a fun fact that usually catches people off guard — I'm actually a Howard University graduate who started out on a pre-med track. After working in healthcare for several years I made a complete pivot into sales and marketing, then reinvented myself again as a software engineer in the tech industry, which I still do to this day. Three completely different worlds — and somehow photography ties all of them together perfectly.
