Daniel is a highly experienced photographer who specializes in; luxury real estate, interior design, food, automotive, as well as commercial filming. Over 18 years as a working professional has honed his technique and skills and the passion for creation is as fervent as the day he picked up a camera. He learned his trade the old fashioned way by appreciating with veteran photographers in New York before forming partnerships and developing his own business before pulling up stakes and moving out West to start again. The passion for photography doesn't stop when the work is done though, Daniel is a passionate artist as well; his work being displayed in galleries and has been featured in several shows of note. The camera rarely leaves his hands.

Meer over Daniel J....

Wat vind je het leukst aan je werk?

I love the moment of realization. You can see it on someone's face when the image in their head of what they wanted and the image of the back of my camera match. Creating something tangible, something that will go on to exist somewhere in this world gives me a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Seeing new places and meeting and learning about people, and what they do means there are no mundane days in this job.

Welke soorten shoots heb je gedaan en hoe heb je ze speciaal gemaakt?

I have done a myraid of shoots. From multi million dollar mansions to airbnb condos. Walking tours, filming industrial businesses, drone flights and plated fine dining. The way to make these all special is to meet the client where they are at emotionally. Understand why they are passionate about this and I in turn will be more evocative in my photography. I need to create what they can already see. See what they see and then make that mental image a reality. A good example was a food tour I recently shot for a guide. He was not only a lover of the restaurants he showed his guests, he loved the neighborhood, the architecture, the streets. I tried to incorporate all of that into my shoot of his tour, not just the plated dishes and restaurant menus.

Een leuk feitje over deze fotograaf

I don't just like to create with my camera, I am an avid classic car restorer as well. I have a 1968 Camaro that I'm currently working on that I pulled out a field where it was abandoned. I've built and repaired everything on the car from the motor to the interior. My tinkering doesn't stop there I also enjoy carpentry and have built a full bar of out ad old whiskey barrel.
