The Transformation
Beate P., the protagonist in Barbara Pinheiro's fantastic story, wakes up after her afternoon nap to find herself transformed into a vineyard snail. She quickly learns what makes life as a mollusk worth living: eating, reproducing, eating—a land of milk and honey from which she doesn't really want to return to her worry-filled human life. Until a large hand reaches for her... The fantastic illustrations for this dream were created by photographer Fenícia Miranda together with her daughter Leticia.
