Katerine Giannikos is a Professional Photographer from South Africa. Before moving to Boise she lived in New York City for a couple of years. She loved capturing the Big Apple and its awe-inspiring architecture and cityscape which led her to a new passion for Timelapse & Hyperlapse Photography.
As much as she enjoyed capturing the city life, the outdoors has always been where she felt most at home. Taking the skills that she has learnt from cityscape photography and applying it to nature has opened up a new world of artistic possibilities for her.

Wat vind je het leukst aan je werk?

There are so many things I love about photography but for me the most rewarding thing is getting perfect weather conditions. The weather can make or break any photo so having that perfect sunset/ sunrise is what really creates a beautiful moment.

Welke soorten shoots heb je gedaan en hoe heb je ze speciaal gemaakt?

I have captured both Engagement and Wedding photoshoots so having the right location and lighting is important to me. Sure, posing your couple and creating the right composition is key but having the right location can really tell a story and creates the perfect ambiance.

Prijzen, onderscheidingen en erkenningen ontvangen

I was awarded 2nd place at the Idaho Western Fair for my Cityscape photo of New York City. I also received 2 honorable mentions in the Professional Landscape Division
I came 1st for a Sony Alpha competition and won a Sony ZV1 Camera.
I will be a judge for the LA Timelaspe Film Festival that will be held on January 2023.

I have a huge fascination for beautiful clouds. Whenever I see big fluffy clouds or stormy clouds, I need to capture it in a Timelapse.
