Photography is how I show the people know how I understand the world. I started shooting when I was 11 and loved spending days in the darkroom. I went to The University of North Texas and studied art and journalism and was hired by The Dallas Morning News in my junior year. I am very technical in my approach and know the most important part of an image is what it says. Getting to know my subjects from crisis victims or a restauranteur is paramount to composing a photo that allows understanding.

Wat vind je het leukst aan je werk?

While I love telling stories, the real love I have is I have been able to see the world through the eyes a variety of people. I get to be excited by a different experience on a regular basis.

My work is usually is in relation of connecting a few ideas at a time. In order to make them special I find unique angles and have as many layers as aesthetically possible.
