Wat vind je het leukst aan je werk?
What I love most about photography is the power it has to preserve a memory or craft a story—and then share that with others in a way that brings joy, connection, or even inspiration. Whether it’s a split-second smile, the atmosphere of an event, or a product brought to life through creative vision, knowing that my work can make someone feel something is what drives me. It’s incredibly rewarding to create images that don’t just look good—but mean something
Welke soorten shoots heb je gedaan en hoe heb je ze speciaal gemaakt?
When it comes to product photography, I go beyond just capturing an item—I aim to tell a story. I take time to understand how the product is used, who it’s for, and the feeling it’s meant to evoke. From there, I build a visual theme around that purpose—shaping the lighting, colours, and styling to reflect the mood and emotion behind the brand. It’s about making each shot not just beautiful, but intentional.
With portrait photography, I take a similar approach. I spend time getting to know the person—their favourite places, colours, personal style, and what makes them feel most like themselves. These small details help shape a shoot that’s uniquely them. The goal is always to create something that feels authentic, personal, and full of character
Een leuk feitje over deze fotograaf
Before I stepped behind the lens full-time, my journey began in the military, where I worked as a helicopter technician. It was a role that demanded precision, focus, and problem-solving under pressure—skills that still influence my approach to photography today. After leaving the military, I moved into a role as an audio visual technician in Canberra, where I worked across live events, installations, and technical production. It was during this time that my creative interests really began to take shape, eventually leading me to pursue photography more seriously. Those years gave me a solid foundation in both technical and creative thinking—something I now bring to every shoot, whether I’m capturing a quiet portrait or staging a detailed commercial setup.
