When it comes to photography, Preston’s automotive photography is something like you’ve never seen before. He has unique style in the way he composes his photographs and the way he edits his photographs. His photography focuses on the automotive world but, mainly with classic cars that you don’t see anymore. When it comes to the market in the classic car industry, his clients are a variety of ages and a lot of the clients he meets are from car shows. The types of jobs that these people hold is also very spread out. Some of them are still in full time working jobs while others are retired. A lot of the retired community that he takes photographs for are retired military who have great car collections. His photography mainly focuses on the detail of the classic vehicles that you don’t see driving around in your everyday life. He likes to focus on the details of these vehicles since nothing is built like the way it used to be.

Wat vind je het leukst aan je werk?

I love being able to tell stories with my photography. With having my portfolio be mostly classic cars, although I do shoot a variety of cars, these classic cars have a lot of stories to them. Whether they are one owner cars or someone famous may have owned the car a time before. It’s really cool getting to hear the history on how someone may have obtained that car that is their dream car. It’s something I truly enjoy and love making conversation about during my photo shoots.

Welke soorten shoots heb je gedaan en hoe heb je ze speciaal gemaakt?

Most of my shoots have been in the Automotive industry. Whether I’m shooting personally for a client or going to a car show or festival to photograph the event, I’ve done it! In order to make each event special, I try to focus on the little details people may have missed like the dash of a car that has different gauges that you don’t see anymore or with some bigger festivals where you have people driving, I try to challenge myself and get panning photographs with a bunch of background blur to stand out.
