Shathusan is a sports and event photographer based in Milton Keynes, currently studying at Loughborough University. He has built his experience shooting for Volleyball England at their National Finals and Interregionals, covering BUCS Big Wednesday, Notts Varsity, and a wide range of university sporting events and formal occasions. Contracted as an event photographer with EB Media, Shathusan covers university events across Loughborough including freshers events and formal balls. He shoots with a Nikon D7200 and edits in Adobe Lightroom Classic, with sport and environment specific presets developed to ensure consistent, high quality results across every shoot.

Wat vind je het leukst aan je werk?

I love that every shoot is completely different. One week I'm courtside at a Volleyball England final, the next I'm photographing a Tamil milestone celebration for a family in Milton Keynes. The variety keeps it interesting and constantly pushes me to adapt, different lighting, different subjects, different energy. I also love meeting so many new and different people across all environments, whether it be fellow photographers, spectators or athletes at sporting events.

I have photographed sports competitions, university events, cultural celebrations, portraits, and social events. I focus on capturing natural reactions, key moments, and small details that help tell the story of the event, and in turn make them special

I have received recognition for my sports and event photography through my work covering university sport, including being awarded Media of the Week for my photography and media coverage. My work has also been featured across university sports and society social media, helping events reach wider audiences.

I’m a big car enthusiast and a huge Formula 1 fan. I’ve always loved cars and motorsport, so naturally I enjoy combining that interest with photography whenever I get the opportunity.
