Engagement, Wedding and Commercial Food photographer, based in New York City, Tatiana Villamil was born in Colombia. Her upbringing established the color instilled in all her work, very keen of her Latino culture. While living in Madrid her curiosity for photography began with a simple point and shoot camera. It was only right to move to one of the biggest metropolis and nourish her art. She then pursued and finished a bachelor's degree in Media Arts Journalism in New York City and was always shooting in her spare time.

Tatiana has worked for brands and companies like Las Vegas Review-Journal, Il Mulino New York, Crave Social, and Supermix Entertainment amongst others. She is certain “that with my photography I’ll capture the art of observation perennially.”

Wat vind je het leukst aan je werk?

I love everything from capturing candid moments to coming up with a concept and bringing it to life. I love the challenges of the lighting and it really warms my heart when my clients thank me for their final product and share it with their loved ones. There's nothing more gratifying than making people feel beautiful.

Welke soorten shoots heb je gedaan en hoe heb je ze speciaal gemaakt?

I have done plenty of shoots, I always bring forward my best attitude because I know that's contagious and it definitely translates in the photos. Saying silly jokes always brings out genuine smiles in my clients and those are always the best pictures. I'm very detail oriented, so I'm always making sure your outfit is well presented, or that a plate is delicately styled. I strive to always capture the best angles and give all the direction needed when necessary.
