For over two decades, Vernon has crafted his technique from an early age. A strobist at heart, he developed his skills by painstakingly taking the time to learn the functions of his equipment one button at a time. Only operating in manual mode he strongly believes a photography isn't a true creative if they allow a mechanical instrument to make a creative decision.

In addition to weddings, Vernon enjoys on-location portraits the most, basing his style surrounding his three elemental must haves in every image he creates. The clients personality, wardrobe, and surroundings, all must coexist in cohesive perfection. because of this method Vernon also considers himself a themed shooter.

His work showcases drama with tones of edginess not by using hard shadows and blackness, but he sculptures light to create a moment in time that would never otherwise existed. Vernon strives to provide his clients with works that if viewed while scrolling a page, the viewer must stop, therefore setting out to be against the norm.

He is apt to teach as well and enjoys the moment when a student finally realizes what has held them back through his instruction.

Allowing my clients see themselves in ways they wouldn't otherwise. Life is sometimes a distraction, slowing down and being in the moment to absorb its beauty is so important, yet is frequently missed.

Welke soorten shoots heb je gedaan en hoe heb je ze speciaal gemaakt?

Between weddings and modeling portraits, I enjoy the reactions from my new clients eyes when they see themselves in my images. I am a firm believer that my subject, background and theme all need to be in unison. otherwise a composition has failed. it doesn't make sense to me photographing a subject in an evening gown standing at the beach or in a wooded area, they simply don't go together. I want my clients to feel immersed in their finished image, and not just a willing participant. In auto mobiles the perfect surrounding will make a viewer feel that they are the owners or want to be the owners of a automotive because of the atmosphere that is projected. Just as real estate does, when it scoops you out of your seat and propels you into the room.
