Adrian obtained a Diploma in Professional Photography (Merit pass) from the Blackford Centre of Distance Learning in 2017. Further supported by photography workshops attended around London from 2014 to 2020 covering fashion, natural light portraits, studio lighting, advanced photography, night photography, black and white photography, weddings and editing courses.

All the above led to the launch of his freelance business of Special Moments Photography by Adrian Bouvier in September 2021 specialising in portraits, events and weddings, that has been hugely successful becoming a 5 star rated business following client reviews.

Adrian's love of photography stems from a deep desire to capture the beauty in this world at specific moments that will last for ever. Throughout our daily lives, we look but we don't always take the time to really 'see' what is around us. The ultimate objective is for the photos to really tell a story and provide an artistic expression and interpretation of the subjects being captured, which Adrian achieves with great energy and passion.

More about Adrian B....

What do you love about your job?

I love the interaction with my clients and the energy needed for this which makes every shoot so exceptional, telling a very different story in each case, capturing great portraits, great moments of spontaneous moments of laughter and engagement at that split second. Every shoot is so unique and so much fun in its own right. I especially enjoy the combination of photos in black and white and colour. After every shoot I'm always left with great memories that I treasure for ever.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have shot many weddings and have achieved great photos by being on point with high energy levels the whole time, whilst looking for best locations to shoot with the best lighting, whilst looking for unusual approaches that the venue can allow for. For example high up balconies. Being a leader is so important clearly leading the subjects to ensure we get the great shots we are after by also paying a lot of attention to the background to avoid distractions.

For weddings, events and portraits, one key part is always the planning before and on the day. I always arrive early so I can plan exactly how the shoot will take place, consider the warmth of the light, consider what lenses to use, what the best backdrops are and what the best shoot itinerary is.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

For my freelance business, I've been hired 56 times, obtained 23 5-star ratings and 2 4-star ratings, as well as achieving a 5-star rating on my Google profile.

A fun fact about this photographer

As well as being a photographer, I also have a black belt in shotokan karate and love gardening. When I'm not doing this, I'm deep in concentration in front of a chess board!
