What do you love about your job?

I love being able to capture the moments in between moments; those expressions that tell the deeper truth of the moment. Meeting new people has always been a pleasure for me. I feel honored to observe and record some of the most intimate moments that a person could share. It is silly but, while editing portraits, I often catch myself smiling back at my smiling subject. I also enjoy carefully styling products; tending to even the tiniest of details.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have done many different types of shoots. One thing that remains true for each, we've shared some laughs. I often play a bit of a clown to keep my client from focusing on their own awkward situation of being photographed. Be it beauty, glamor, boudoir, couples, family, maternity, or children, I've gone out of my way to ensure the comfort of my clients. ( Need water? wine? mittens? candy? music? I'm on it. ) I know that customer service makes an impact.

A fun fact about this photographer

I worked in veterinary medicine and behavior for much of my adult life. I might greet someone's dog before I greet the person. :)
