I am a photographer from Ireland who has recently relocated to Munich, Germany.

My two mains passions are wedding photography and pet photography.

I had always had a love for animals (horses in particular) and I was sure that that’s what I wanted to study after school. So I completed one year in University doing Equine Science, and realised that it just wasn’t for me… So I began a photography course.

And that was honestly the best decision I ever made. I always knew I had a creative, artistic eye for photos… I just never had the knowledge and of course, better equipment helped out a lot also!

So I went from resident photographer in nightclubs, to shooting events and religious ceremony’s all over Ireland to covering 50+ weddings in 2018-2020

After Corona, when the weddings had come to a standstill. I decided to pursue the direction of my true photographic passion which I hadn’t really before - pet photography.

So I designed and launched my own website in 2021 for pet photography. I was really nervous but excited to pursue my new endeavour - and I had a pretty great response to it! Including my first ever mini photoshoot event in 2020 where my aim was to capture families with their fur babies.

And now I’m located in Munich, Germany and am very excited to see what this new country has in store!

More about Alanna C....

What do you love about your job?

I unfortunately have lost family members and people I was very close to… And my favourite part about being a photographer is photographing people or pets as memories that they can cherish forever, long after the person or memory is gone. I know people who have praised me for capturing photos of their loved ones after they have passed away and it’s a lovely privilege to have. So that really touches me to know I got some amazing shots of people and they really appreciate them, that is my favourite part. I am really grateful to know that my art work makes people happy.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have done many many shoots with lots of different variety. I have photographed lots of famous DJs and covered many events throughout Ireland and Munich also.. I love to photograph families with older dogs with special attention to them. Because we all know they don’t stay around forever.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

So without giving away tooooo much I am about to be a published photographer this year thanks to a photoshoot I did last year. But that is to be continued.

I took part in many photo competitions in the camera club and was very successful.

A fun fact about this photographer

I played a sport called Camogie (male version is Hurling) in Ireland from when I was in school up until now here in Munich I also play it
