Alex is an experienced automotive photographer based in Dallas. Most of his work revolves around creative freedom, strong lighting and post processing skills to give any car owner "bedroom poster" level photos.
For me, the creative process of starting out with a simple idea in my mind, planning out how to shoot that, executing that shoot on location, then adding those special touches in Photoshop is incredibly satisfying. I also challenge myself every shoot to make the next one better than the last, so the added challenge is fun to try and accomplish. I also will never get tired of meeting new owners and just talking cars, business, and life with them, something that is hard to do in a digital heavy world like today. And of course, I will never, ever get tired of being around such amazing automobiles that many do not get to see in their lives.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
The most special shoots are the ones where I can make connections with the client. It's one of the rare times where I can truly connect with someone and create even long lasting relationships with. I have had numerous clients that have wanted their cars photographed, and that led to future weekends where we go to cruise or hang out. Some have even became the friends I have today.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I had some of my work published in popular car publications like SpeedHunters and even was a finalist for Super Streets/Toyo Tires Shutterspace contest where I competed with hundreds of talented photographers across the world.
A fun fact about this photographer
I am a full time student majoring in Finance. I also was a huge band nerd in high school and was into music. If I wasn't so focused on school and photography, I would probably be in Drum Corps right now.
