More about Alijah L....
What do you love about your job?
My favorite part about this job is using my camera to collaborate on a vision. My clients come to me with the desire to capture moments in the most beautiful way possible, and being able to recognize that need and deliver on it is what drives me to keep shooting. Delivering a gallery to a bride and groom and seeing the tears of joy as they recount their special day, delivering photos to an expectant mother from her maternity session and watching her revel in the beauty of her miracle, or delivering a session to a family and providing them with memories and moments that they will look back on in family photo albums for decades to come - the feeling of gratitude I have for experiencing these moments with my clients is everything to me, and I would be honored to be able to experience some moments with you.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done a lot of work with families, a lot of weddings and events, and a lot of product photography. I love all of these things equally for different reasons, but my goal is to always make my client feel like their goals are my number one priority. I try to make it fun - laughing and joking with my clients as we get to know each other - and carrying that energy through to the end of the session where we review some photos that we've captured and share in the excitement of the final product.
A fun fact about this photographer
I am 100% self taught, picking up my first camera, a 35mm film camera that was given to me by my father, who purchased it in Japan during his time in the Navy back in the 70s, about 16 years ago
