More about Amanda L....
What do you love about your job?
Getting to push boundaries and try to create something different. To capture an artistic vision from something simple or unsuspecting. It's the creativity that makes it never got old. I love when I can show a client something they have never seen before. It also means the world to me when I can capture moments for someone that, when they re-visit the images, can keep the feeling they felt coming back over and over for the rest of their life. I feel like I've left them something with true value.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done many different types of shoots. Today I stick to weddings and automotive. With weddings I make them special by interacting as much as possible with the couple. I like to ask them questions about what they love most about each other or what they do to make each other laugh and have them answer to each other, and photograph those moments. It leads to some amazing emotional captures. On top of that, helping everyone to have some fun and let go of nerves. It's great to see the couple and wedding party having a blast taking photos!
For automotive I like to learn the car owners story with the car, and then try to visually tell that story. I put the car in the best environment I can think of to suit the car, owner, and story they tell me, so it makes it feel special to them. I also like to throw in some really artistic shots for variety.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I haven't received any awards or honors yet, but that' not why I do this.
A fun fact about this photographer
