While Andrew began shooting professionally in 2007, his interest in the craft began far earlier than that, shooting and developing black and white film on a hand-me-down SLR in high school. He has traveled to Europe, Asia, and many parts of the US to photograph his passions from automotive, racing, events, concerts, landscapes, portraiture and more. His work has been featured in internationally syndicated magazines, numerous online media outlets, in person with a RAW Artists showcase event, and even by white collar professionals and recording artists.
Getting closer to the things, places, and most of all people that I admire is the heart of the craft. To capture someone's own true spirit for them and share that with others is a very special act. I love being able to promote others who are doing great work, and help them be seen in the best possible light.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I've done many types of shoots, ranging from professional racing events, wedding anniversaries and family portraits, live concerts, studio portraits, and more. I have a distinct style that I bring to every shoot, and my experienced eye sees things in a different way than anyone else, drawing out new details to add meaning.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I was selected to join a RAW Artists showcase in 2018, highlighting work by outstanding artists in the Nashville area. I was honored to be featured alongside other talented creatives in art, fashion, dance, music, and more.
A fun fact about this photographer
In addition to photography I am also a published editorialist. Many of the media outlets I have worked in racing allowed me to write the stories behind each event, and blog about unique topics going on in the sport. In college I was also a radio DJ for three years, spinning tracks on shows that featured Techno, Hip Hop, Classic Rock, and World Music.
