More about Anne R....

What do you love about your job?

For me, the people I meet in photography make the job so special and important. It is such a privilege to be trusted to preserve my client's lives for years to come. It is amazing watching a family grow from giggling engagement shoot to tearful wedding day and on to first puppy or, my personal favorite, a glowing maternity shoot! And how fast do newborns turn into 6 month olds and then on to tumbling toddlers?! These are such brief moments in our lives and I love being able to create images that stand the test of time.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I shoot a lot of portraits for social media and creative professionals, who are looking for something polished, but not traditional or corporate. With websites and social media profiles, an important part of professional identity, I provide clients with a variety of looks, both in studio and on location that can be used over time to keep their business up to date without repetition. I work to make sure that three looks, means three separate looks, by constantly switching up lighting and location.
For example, for a modeling client, the first look could be all natural in studio with window light and minimal makeup, the second look is on location, fun and flirty on the NY streets and for the third look, back in the studio with dramatic lighting and an amped up wardrobe. This way my client has seemingly three separate shoots to show off over time.
