What do you love about your job?

I think we all have those moments where we get frustrated in our search for happiness. Finding the things that make us happy is definitely a tedious and exhausting process. I never thought I would find something that I was truly passionate in; of course that was until I bought my first camera... At first, it was just another gadget to throw into my collection of gizmos but later on, it became much more than that. I soon realized that I had found a way to freeze time, to capture a moment forever. I discovered a way to LEAVE MY MARK.

After years of learning how to properly adjust my settings on my camera, I became addicted to photography. I was devoted to the pursuit and capture of the perfect image. Will I ever get that image? Most likely never; but one thing is for sure... I found happiness. And in the end that's all that ever matters, right?

To sum it all up, what I love most is the instant gratification I deliver my clients their photographs. It's a piece of me; a more personal look of how I see life through my eyes (lens). It's intimate and also very exciting to see them love something that I created specifically for them.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I enjoy doing portrait/lifestyle work. I love it when I meet an individual that says they are shy or nervous in front of a camera but at the end of the shoot, they're acting like they are in their own home and dancing around like no one is watching. It's an outstanding feeling when I help people step out of their comfort zone and showing them how much fun it can be to step outside the box we've created for ourselves. The best part is that I get to capture those moments and share them with my clients. I love doing brand/commercial work as well when those opportunities are presented.

A fun fact about this photographer

I went to a STN film competition with my school's Broadcast Club and we had to create a commercial for Hurley clothing company with this really cheap, beginner camera because our school couldn't afford newer/better equipment like majority of other schools there. We were lucky we were even there to be honest. My team and I didn't win the competition by STN standards BUT Hurley actually reached out to us and said that we won in their book because how creative and how well that commercial presented their company. They actually put the video up on their website for a while. It felt like a David and Goliath moment for my friends and I.
