More about Brian H....
What do you love about your job?
There are so many aspects of this I love. There is a special thing that happens when you nail a shot. You hit the button and you just feel it. That's the shot. And then it's time to take a better one. I don't get to be lazy doing this. A photographer is only as good as their last shoot.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I've shot portraits, boudoir, weddings, food, fashion, real estate, and dabbled in a number of other genres. Everyone has a camera in their phone and they all bring that phone everywhere. In order to justify hiring a pro photographer, we have to bring more to the table than just a camera. I like to spend a few moments discussing the shoot beforehand to be certain we are all aiming at the same goal. And then I like to regularly review images as we go. It might take an extra couple of minutes here and there. But if we can prevent any future snags my taking an extra couple of minutes here and there, the end result should be worth it.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I've had a few of my images used on several DFW billboards, been published in Texas Monthly, Dallas Morning News, and Addison Magazine. Shot the boudoir images that hung at Mercy Wine Bar in Addison, and later held a gallery showing there.
A fun fact about this photographer
My free time is usually spent on a kayak with good music or walking the dog. I'm a nature nut. Anything I can do to spend more time around trees the better.
