More about Carson H....
What do you love about your job?
What I love most about my job is bringing anyone's vision to life, whether that is my own or my clients. Growing up, I would always make sketches to bring my creative thoughts to life and I always wanted to help those who weren't confident to create. I believe I have a sense of rhythm and it coincides with every piece of work that I do, especially with video; as that is my strong suit and my biggest passion of all. Showing off my creativity with beautiful imagery is what gets me out of bed every day. I love that my job I can practice every day even if that means with just random photos on snap chat. Everything is art to me and I couldn't imagine seeing it any other way.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done many real estate shots and portraits. I make real estate photos special by really diving into the composition side of it and getting great shadows, symmetry, leading lines, foreshadowing, etc. With the portraits side of things, I make those special by directing the model to feel better about themselves and come up with angles that most wouldn't think of (Thank you 100mm MACRO <3).
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
The only recognition I have really had was the Columbia Instagram page asking to repost my zoo picture of an otter that told a great story. As well I've had a skateboarding company promote a link to my latest documentary type interview. I'm sure those are just a start of what's to come, but awards are what I shoot for. It's just getting my vision out there and showing people that they can too all while trying to be as original as possible.
A fun fact about this photographer
I'm actually a unicyclist and broke it about two weeks ago and having withdrawals. Hire me so I can get a replacement haha I don't think anyone understands how much those things are, especially the off-road mountain ones. Oooo I'm just excited thinking about hopping back on one. It's a discipline and a load of fun. (P.S. I'm working on operating a Glidecam while doing it... stay tuned.)
