More about Chris L....
What do you love about your job?
The part I love the most about my job is listening to my clients describe what it is they are looking for and developing the right formula to make that happen. With everything creative, you have to start with the right tools (cameras, lenses, etc). Then, you need a proper setting (locations and backgrounds). After the picture is taken I begin my favorite part of the process, editing. I know that I love being a photographer because I get overjoyed when I get to see the reactions of happy clients from something I helped create.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have shot plenty of motion heavy shots, working with various motorcycle types. I would sit in a motorcycle sidecar with my camera on a gimbal while the driver would turn corners going over 25mph on average. The way I made these shoots special is by turning my shutter speed down so that I could get my subject (the bike) in focus while having everything else within the frame slightly motion blurred. These types of shots take time to get right but when it does work out, it looks phenomenal!
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I haven't received any awards as of yet but I've had my photography published in the July 2018 - American Motorcycle Dealer Magazine
A fun fact about this photographer
I have a very peculiar connection to music and rhythms and can only recollect certain events in my life through what song I was listening to in that particular moment.
