"Having the best photographic ingredients, add in years of experience results in superior photographs! As a skilled product photographer, I understand how to utilize aspects such as color, design, lighting, reflections, angles, and display to create images paying homage to your product's design." Chris

Chris also has twenty-five years of marketing experience, visually communicating between his clients and their consumers, increasing the value of his client's products and services.

When someone tells a photographer that "their camera must be really good," chances are the photographer will respond with an eye roll. The debate surrounding gear vs. skill in the photography world is a tired, albeit consistent discussion. Let's not kid ourselves, equipment does in fact matter. You don't want someone showing up for your "professional" shoot with a point-n-shoot camera and a tripod that will not hold a hummingbird, you are just not going to be satisfied with the results.

Beyond the undeniable fact that one needs a great camera to create great photographs, there is a multitude of optional equipment and components that can be used to produce a professional shoot and bring your project to the next level. None of these are necessary for your project, they are simply additional tools that a photographer may take advantage of to make things easier to achieve the results you are looking for. Here are a few items that Chris tends to use:

More about Chris S....

What do you love about your job?

I love the fact that I can take a simple object and turn it into something that someone just can't live without!

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

Everything from tiny bicycle parts to large refrigeration equipment. Shooting reflective surfaces like stainless steel is an art, not everyone can do it.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

Product photography is a faceless job, so there are not too many "award-type" people that publish recognition. However, my client list speaks for my talent.

A fun fact about this photographer

I run an outdoor blog called The Outdoor Life ( and love getting outside and playing hard!
