I love seeing the smiles on people's faces after I deliver a product they enjoy. Nothing makes me feel more validated than when someone says, "Oh, that looks yummy!"
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I enjoy minimalist food photography. So I introduce just enough props to help tell the story but primarily focus on the food's textures and layers, natural contrasts and highlights, and the overall composition.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
My community dinner series has been written about in local news articles, received foundation grants, and featured in Food & Wine magazine. Once my cookbook is released, I hope that attracts some attention as well.
A fun fact about this photographer
I enjoy tending to our family garden with my husband and one-year-old son. I produced and screened two short films at the FREEP Film Festival, and I work full-time in the local film industry.
