More about David B....

What do you love about your job?

I love working with light. I love the process of directing, controlling, manipulating and capturing photon particles on a visual medium. Light is the foundation for everything that we perceive as beautiful in this world. To me, photography is painting with light. In fact, my favorite form of photography is light painting.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have done many different types of photoshoots in the past but the ones that stand out the most to me are the commercial productions where I have the opportunity to work with a team of creative professionals and professional and/or celebrity talent. On set, I always like to keep a fun upbeat dynamic where everyone feels comfortable to be lighthearted but still professional and on task. That way the subject being photographed feels at ease and can be the most themselves in front of the camera. This opens them up to be completely transparent towards the lens, which makes for a truly special image.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

I've been published in several magazines over the years such as Vibe Magazine, Boeing Frontiers, West Orange Times, Golf Digest, Patio & Hearth Products Report to name a few.

A fun fact about this photographer

Before I realized that I was destined to be a photographer, I aspired to be a master puppeteer and I established and managed an entire church puppet theater program at the age of 10 years old. We scripted our own shows, created our own characters, made our own puppets and puppet theater. Then I discovered my passion for photography.
